There’ve been some major casting shake ups when it comes to Hawaii 5-0 season 8. While fans will surely be missing some characters that won’t return, it sounds like they can look forward to a few familiar faces popping up!
Showrunner Peter M. Lenkov recently revealed via Twitter that he’s hoping to potentially bring back actor Willie Garson this coming season.
The subject came up when a fan tweeted at Lenkov asking if Garson may be coming back for season 8. “He is hilarious,” said the fan.
“Agreed,” replied Lenkov. “And hope so.”
Garson first guest starred on Hawaii 5-0 in season 6, where he played an art appraiser with black market connections named Blume.
Though Garson’s appearance isn’t confirmed, one familiar face Hawaii 5-0 fans can definitely look forward to seeing this season is that of actor Chris Vance.
Earlier this week, Lekov took to Twitter to confirm that Vance would be back to play British secret agent Harry Langford in season 8.
The showrunner didn’t give many details with regards to how many episodes Vance would be guest starring in, but either way, it’s certainly cause for excitement.
The fact that Hawaii 5-0 is looking to bring in some familiar faces is great news — especially because fans are still reeling from the reveal that actors Daniel Day Kim and Grace Park had decided to walk away from the hit series ahead of the upcoming season.
We’re looking forward to seeing how Hawaii 5-0 brings Harry Langford into the mix, and hoping for a Blume sighting as well!
Hawaii 5-0 returns to CBS for season 8 on September 29.
