One Direction had plenty of chart topping hits, but it turns out each of the band’s five members aren’t doing too shabby on their own either!

In a recent article, Billboard revealed that Louis Tomlinson’s latest single, “Back To You” (a summer jam featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals) has officially topped the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart.

Though Tomlinson’s No. 1 single is a personal accomplishment, it actually holds a pretty cool significance for 1D in general. As pointed out by Billboard, with “Back To You” sitting pretty at the top of the charts, it means that Tomlinson has become the fifth and final member of One Direction to earn a No.1 hit.

Zayn Malik, who parted ways with 1D in 2015, has garnered monumental success with his solo material. “Pillow Talk,” “It’s You,” “Like I would,” and “Befour.” all spent at least a week in the No. 1 spot on the charts.

Meanwhile, fellow 1D members Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Harry Styles, have also faired very well with their own solo endeavors. Each of the three reached the No. 1 spot with singles “This Town,” “Strip That Down,” and “Sign of the Times,” respectively.

In the past, we’ve seen a clear frontrunner break away when boy bands have called it quits, but it’s quite rare that more than one member is able to turn their solo music career into something meaningful.

It’s great to see that each of the 1D boys are finding success in the various musical avenues they’re exploring during the band’s hiatus. We can’t wait to see what’s coming up next for each of them!
