Niall Horan has been pretty quiet on social media as of late and fans have totally taken notice! Now, the One Direction singer is letting us in on why he’s been absent and it turns out he’s got a pretty good reason for laying low.
Horan took to Twitter on Monday (August 1) to let fans know that he’s been taking some well deserved time off from the internet.
“I’ve had a couple of weeks off that’s why I haven’t been around,” tweeted Horan. “Hope all is well and everyone is excited for the tour.”
As much as we love the “Slow Hands” singer’s frequent updates, we’re glad to hear he’s taken some time to rest up!
As Horan himself teased, up next, he’ll be embarking on his first solo tour.
The tour, which kicks off on August 29 in the singer’s home country of Ireland, will find Horan bringing his show on the road to 14 select cities in Europe and in the United States.
Additionally, Horan assured fans in other locations that he hasn’t forgotten about them.
“For those of you wondering why I’m not stopping nearer you this time please bear with me a little longer while I plan 2018,” stated Horan in a handwritten note updated to Twitter in July. “This is just the beginning and an opportunity for me to re-learn the craft of doing shows and touring in general.”
Fall is gearing up to be a pretty busy time for the One Direction member. On top of hitting the road, Horan also teased back in June that he might be releasing his album soon.
“I’m thinking October/November time,” Horan told Entertainment Tonight Canada. “There’s a lot of stuff going on at the minute, promo wise around the world, so when that stops, I’ll then release it.”
We can’t wait to get our hands on Niall’s debut solo album, and hope the singer releases it sooner rather than later!
