It’s been six years since Dylan Sprouse has appeared in any TV series or movies, and now that the actor is working on an indie film —  there is photographic proof! — his fans are having a hard time containing their excitement.

Days after news broke that Dylan — who is one half of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody duo — was returning to acting, the former Disney Channel star took to Twitter to thank fans for their support.

“I don’t usually do serious tweets, but thank you all for the kindness you’ve shown me the last few days,” Sprouse tweeted on Thursday (Aug. 3) after a huge outpouring of support from fans online.

After their major success on the Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Suite Life on Deck, Sprouse and his twin brother Cole both took a break from acting to attend New York University.

Although his brother has already been back in front of the camera, with a starring role on The CW, Dylan is just getting back into the acting world, but this time he’s focusing on film.

Last week, the director of his upcoming project, Eva Doležalová, shared a few pictures on Instagram of life on set with Sprouse, who will play Gideon Blake in her indie film, Carte Blanche. The good news is this is actually the second film that Sprouse has worked on in 2017.

He also filmed a film called Dismissed, which has yet to be released. With two movies in the pipeline, we really can’t wait to see Dylan back in action on the big screen — even if his current indie roles prove to be a BIG departure from his Disney days.
