During the 2017 Television Critics Association press tour this week, Elizabeth Gillies, who played Jade West on the series, chatted with TV Guide about a potential Victorious reunion, and her comments are giving us serious hope that a revival could really happen.
“Yeah, I’m down. We’re all down,” Gillies told TV Guide about reuniting with the cast while promoting her new series Dynasty (the reboot) the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills.
Victorious followed the story of aspiring singer, Tori Vega (Victoria Justice), as she attended Hollywood Arts High School, with a number of equally talented fellow classmates. In addition to Justice and Gillies, the cast included Ariana Grande, Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Avan Jogia and Daniella Monet.
What gives us the most hope for a revival or reunion, however, is that according to the New Jersey native, the cast still remains “very close.”
This isn’t the first time this year a Victorious cast member has called for a revival. In May, Ariana Grande took to Twitter to say that she thinks Victorious deserves a proper finale, and her cast mates were quick to reply with a lot of positive answers, including Gillies. In response to Grande’s post saying “Victorious needs a finale,” Gillies wrote back, “It sure does.”
While fans impatiently wait to see an actual Victorious reunion (Nickelodeon we’re looking at you!), they can watch Gillies back on TV come October when Dynasty premieres!
Dynasty premieres on The CW on October 11, 2017.
