And the teases keep on coming!
On Sunday (Aug. 6), 5 Seconds of Summer singer Luke Hemmings dropped what appears to be a big hint about what’s coming next for the band — and although he didn’t give too much away, his cryptic Twitter post certainly has fans intrigued.
“I feel a new era comin on,” Hemmings wrote on Twitter over the weekend. This cheeky tweet led to a lot of fans asking for the band to “leak a song,” and “hurry up and drop new music” and their frustration is totally warranted.
In fact, this isn’t the first time over the past few weeks that Hemmings, who is bandmates with Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood, has teased new material. Needless to say, 5SOS fans can barely handle the anticipation.
“Can’t wait to get back out on the road, can’t wait for you guys to here these songs we’ve been writing, miss you all,” Hemmings previously tweeted, and fans can’t wait to hear what he’s talking about.
The official Twitter page for the band has also been full of teases, including black and white photos of the boys in studio seemingly working on all the new music that Hemmings has been teasing in his tweets.
While there is still no word on when the Australian boy band will be releasing new songs and a new album, they will be going on tour beginning this month, so here’s hoping that’s when the new tunes are unveiled.
The 5 Seconds of Summer tour begins on August 13, 2017 with performances in Asia, South America and parts of Europe. Check out the full schedule here.
