Jennifer Aniston will always be Rachel Green to us, but that doesn’t mean we’re not ready to see her back on TV in another role. Now, the Friends alum, who found big screen success with movies like Cake and Horrible Bosses, is gearing up for a major small screen appearance — and it’s one we really didn’t see coming.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Aniston is set to be a a guest judge on ABC’s The Gong Show. She will serve as a guest judge alongside Jack Black and Will Arnett this season. For those of you who don’t know, The Gong Show is a reboot of the ’70s game show in which contestants show off their talents to celebrity judges. Sounds, random for the Friends alum, but we will take what we can get.

Despite Aniston’s cameo, the ABC competition series, which is hosted by Mike Meyers, has yet to be picked up for a second season.

“It is definitely still on the table,” Entertainment President Channing Dungey told reporters at the 2017 Television Critics Association summer event as reported by EW. “We are definitely proud of it.”

While it wasn’t the TV return we expected, any excuse to watch Aniston perform, or judge in this case, makes us happy. Plus, this might not be the only TV venture Aniston has up her sleeve right now. Last week news broke that Aniston might be teaming back up with her Friends co-star and on-screen sister, Reese Witherspoon for a new series.

The show has yet to be picked up by a network, but it would follow the morning talk show world, and both Aniston and Witherspoon would act and be executive producers on it, according to Vanity Fair and The Hollywood Reporter, who first broke the story.

Until this magical show comes to fruition, you can tune into Aniston’s episode of The Gong Show on August 14, 2017.
