You might want to prepare yourself for the NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 premiere. According to a slew of new teasers shared by executive producer John Peter Kousakis, the show is returning on a very strong note.

On Sunday (Aug. 6), Kousakis took to Twitter to give fans of the CBS procedural an update on the opener for the upcoming season — revealing that season 9 promises to kick off with a “rock solid” episode.

“Remaining 3 days of S9 premiere episode. #Homework #RScottGemmill script is ROCK solid. #bestcastandcrewinthebiz R bringing their BEST! 👍🏼💪🏼,” Kousakis tweeted about the drama, which stars LL Cool J and Chris O’ Donnell.

In addition to being the executive producer of the whole series, Kousakis will be the director of the “ROCK solid” episode, which is titled “Party Crashers,”  and is set to air on October 1, 2017.

According to Kousakis, some of the locations for this episode include exteriors like, Sunset Strip, the beach, a college campus, a coffee shop and a day in LA and Long Beach. Interior wise, there will be scenes in an Audi, and ambulance, and the LAPD. In a photo taken outside on day 5 of filming, Kousakis couldn’t help but laud the “outstanding day & night” storytelling” of the episode. The executive producer also posted two photos to let fans know that he was prepping a “spectacular stunt” for a cold open — though, he didn’t specify whether the stunt and cold open are for the premiere or a later episode.

Between these teases and the upcoming entry of new series regular Nia Long, we are so ready for NCIS: Los Angeles to return. Now, someone just needs to make sure Monty pops up soon, too!

NCIS: Los Angeles returns for its ninth season on October 1, 2017 on CBS.
