Louis Tomlinson has been brining us some pretty awesome collaborative hits since he began releasing solo material. That being said, fans shouldn’t expect the trend to continue with the One Direction member’s forthcoming single.
Tomlinson stopped by On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday (August 9) where he revealed that his upcoming debut solo album is “about 70 percent done.”
As exciting as it is to hear that the “Back To You” singer’s nearly finished, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be rushing to release the record. But that doesn’t mean we won’t be hearing from Tomlinson in the mean time.
Tomlinson revealed that he’ll be releasing few more tracks before he drops his solo album. His next single in particular, will be pretty special as it’ll mark the first time he’ll truly be stepping out on his own.
“I think there’ll either be one more single, or two more singles before the album. I haven’t 100 percent decided yet,” revealed Tomlinson. “I think I definitely know what the next song is, and it’s me on my own. I think it’s about time that I go out on my own.”
Though Tomlinson didn’t want to give too much away, it’s clear he’s put a lot of thought into what he wants his solo album to sound like. More importantly, he’s hoping to fill a void in pop music by releasing an album heavy on up tempo hits.
We can’t wait to hear more of Louis Tomlinson’s solo music, and hope he lets us in on when we can expect that solo album to drop soon!
