While Grey’s Anatomy already boasts an amazing cast, next season the drama is boosting its star power even more by bringing back a major fan favorite.
On Monday (Aug. 14), Sarah Drew, who plays Dr. April Kepner, shared a fun selfie from the set with Grey’s alum Kim Raver, confirming reports that the actress is in fact returning to the ABC drama in season 14 to reprise her role as Dr. Teddy Altman.
“So SO happy to work with this beautiful and wildly talented lady again! #teddyaltman #GreysAnatomy #season14,” Drew captioned the picture, and man we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
In June, Deadline was the first to report that Raver, who was on Grey’s Anatomy as a series regular from seasons 6-8, would be returning to Grey Sloan Memorial as a reoccurring guest star in season 14.
While there’s no word yet on what kind of medical drama Raver’s character will be betting into this time around, the last time we saw Teddy she was fired by Owen (Kevin McKidd), because she not-so-secretly wanted to take her dream job at MEDCOM. Now however, Raver is back with her Grey’s Anatomy friends and we can’t wait to see what happens when Teddy has to face her former co-workers — including Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) — and how she’ll fit in again.
What do you think will happen when Teddy returns to Grey’s Anatomy? Will things go smoothly?
Grey’s Anatomy returns for its 14th season with a two-hour premiere on September 28, 2017 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
