If you’ve been wondering where Cody Simpson has been over the past few years, you’re not alone. The singer has been working on a few new projects, and he’s finally ready for his fans to know about them.

Two years after the release of his single “Flower,” Simpson revealed to The Courier Mail‘s Confidential that he’s gearing up to unveil new music — in the form of a single and album — very soon. His latest releases, however, will be a little different than what fans may remember from his past.

“It’s starting to get pretty full-on — I’m at the next stage in my career and I’m really comfortable and confident in it and excited to see what people think,” Simpson told Confidential about his upcoming music.

Simpson — who has previously collaborated with Justin Bieber and Becky G — explained that he is set to drop a new single next month, but it won’t be as a solo artist. This time around, the 20-year-old singer will be debuting his song and record (his fourth studio album) with his band, Coast House Collective, which is comprised of members Corey Harper, Adrian Cota and Khari Mateen.

While Simpson didn’t give away what the single or album would sound like, or an exact release date, we do know that the album is expected to drop sometime in 2018 and will be released on his label, Coast House Records.

If that’s not enough Simpson news to think about, the Aussie singer just wrapped filming a movie, so hopefully you’ll be able to see Simpson in a theater near you soon as well!
