NCIS: Los Angeles returns for its ninth season in October, and while we don’t know exactly what will unfold, we do know where one major scene will take place…on the water!
Last week, the cast and crew of NCIS: LA began filming the premiere episode for the upcoming season and in addition to the drama’s creator teasing how “ROCK solid” the script is, the show’s official Instagram page has been revealing great pictures from set.
“View of the #NCISLA camera boat on the water. #bestcrewinhollywood,” one picturesque image reads, showing off what appears to be the California shoreline.
With so much sun and water fun to be had in Los Angeles, we love that the series is taking it to the water this season. Since, NCIS does stand for Naval Criminal Investigation Service, there is always a naval or water element as a possibility, but from these set photos, it’s clear that the ocean will play a big part in the first episode of this season — maybe a mystery will unfold on the beach? Who knows!
What we do know is that even the show’s lead, Chris O’Donnell (who plays G. Callen), got in on the water fun and boats were definitely involved.
“Coast to coast @chrisodonnell as he preps for a water scene. #NCISLA #Season9,” the show’s Instagram posted alongside a video of O’Donnell boating around in California.
The NCIS: LA executive producer (and director for the season nine premiere episode), John Peter Kouskis, previously teased locations for the episodes, and we’re thinking these gorgeous ocean pictures are curtesy of the Long Beach area — which is again SO pretty.
They might be solving crimes and taking out bad guys, but who says you can’t have some fun in the sun at the same time?
NCIS: Los Angeles returns for its ninth season on October 1, 2017 on CBS.
