Quantico has a lot of changes in store next season, but there might not be as many shakeups as you’d think, which is a good thing.
After a fan reached out to new Quantico boss Michael Seitzman on Twitter to ask, “Are you gonna erase what happened the past 2 seasons? We really wanna see more of Alex and Harry and more relationships,” the showrunner responded with a reassuring hint about what’s ahead for the Priyanka Chopra-led drama.
“Many of the wonderful characters are back this season and I, too, want to explore their relationships,” Seitzman, who is taking over the reigns on the show in season 3 from previous showrunner Josh Safran, replied.
This is really good news for fans who’ve been a little on edge since Seitzman previously told a fan that it wasn’t necessary to watch the first two seasons of the drama to understand the plot of season 3.
“We’re also designing S3 so you won’t be lost at all if you start right here,” Seitzman said, responding to a fan who asked whether they could jump start the drama from season 3.
With the departure of Yasmine Al Massri (who played twin FBI recruits Nimah and Raina), and the addition of Marlee Matlin to the cast (as an ex-FBI agent named Jocelyn Turner), there’s no question that Quantico will be undergoing some major shifts next season. But at least with this new tweet, avid Quantico viewers can rest assured that the new showrunner isn’t planning on disregarding all the relationships the show has built throughout the past two seasons.
At least Chopra and the rest of the Quantico family are ready to come back on board and therefore we will be ready and to see how much of a redesign is really in store come season three.
Quantico’s third season is set for a midseason premiere on ABC.
