Sorry, Katy Perry fans, but your “wildest dreams” of seeing the performer live will have to wait… at least for a few more weeks!

The “Bon Appétit” singer took to Instagram yesterday (Aug. 17) to break the news that her Witness tour has officially been postponed.

“Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week,” Perry wrote. “I’ll be taking the next few weeks to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait.”

The Witness Tour, which was set to begin on September 7, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio, will now kickoff on Sept. 19, 2017 at Montreal’s Bell Centre.

The good news is that the show must and will go on — it will just be moving forward a little later than planned. Fans who had tickets to the first two weeks of performances will be able to reschedule them for a later date or get a refund.

If tour cancelations (like Justin Bieber’s recent Purpose World Tour announcement) and postponements have you down, Perry did announce her tour openers as well, so that’s something to help cheer you up!

When the tour does eventually begin, Noah Cyrus will be joining the “Chained to the Rhythm” singer from September 19 to November 1. The next leg of the tour (from November 7 through December 20) will feature Purity Ring, followed by Carly Rae Jepsen beginning on January 5, 2018 until February 5.
