When it comes to the world of TV reboots, there is one show that fans can’t wait to see come back (they never knew how much they missed ya!) and it’s Sister, Sister. The good news is that both Tia and Tamera Mowry are all for a reunion.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Tia Mowry revealed that while a Sister, Sister revival isn’t a go quite yet, she’s very excited about the possibility of bringing back the series.
“We are working on it. We are having some really exciting meetings. It’s all looking very exciting,” Mowry told Us Weekly.
The 39-year-old actress, who played Tia Landry, the long-lost twin sister of Tamera Cambpell, (played by her real-life twin sister), explained that if in fact the series does come back you can expect some familiar faces, including her TV parents, portrayed by Jackée Harry and Tim Reid.
“It wouldn’t a Sister, Sister without it,” Mowry said when talking about whether or not the original cast would be back. “Everyone seems to be on board,” she added.
Fans are definitely on board, as is Mowry, which is great news for all of us. Mowry explained that she’s ready for more Sister, Sister, because old-school family shows are what’s missing on TV these days.
“I think it just shows how people are in need of kind of having those family shows that we used to have back in the day,” the cookbook author said. “It just goes to show that people want these shows back on the air and they are feel good shows and they are family shows.”
