Sophia Bush has been on two very successful series, One Tree Hill and Chicago P.D., but what would’ve happened if her two TV worlds collided?

Although we’re still sad that Bush won’t be reprising her role as Detective Erin Lindsay on Chicago P.D. , and it’s been years since she played Brooke Davis on OTH, it doesn’t mean we can’t still dream about all the possible ways her two characters could’ve come together — or at least how her OTH cast mates could’ve appeared in the Chicago universe.

In fact, last year, when we chatted with Bush at An Evening with Dick Wolf at PaleyFest, we asked her which One Tree Hill costar she’d love to see on Chicago P.D. and she picked her fellow Tree Hill Raven cheerleader Bethany Joy Lenz (aka Haley James Scott).

“I think it would be fun to have [Bethany Joy Lenz] come work with us,” Bush told People’s Choice at the time. “I just feel like she could play some crazy role and nail it.”

Brooke Davis and Haley James Scott in Chicago, wouldn’t that have been wonderful?

With Bush no longer on Chicago P.D., there’s no longer any chance of Lenz reuniting with her former costar for a super-cool episode of the NBC drama. That said, when we chatted with Lenz back in July 2016, she was all for a P.D. cameo.

“That’s awesome. I would love to be on Chicago P.D., are you kidding me?” Lenz told People’s Choice at the InsideOTH Convention in 2016.

Lenz even echoed Bush’s idea about playing a “crazy role” — proving that these two costars are very much still on the same page.

“What would I do? If I was gonna be on that show I’d want to do something insane. It would be really fun,” Lenz told us.

If only these two friends and costars were able to make this Chicago P.D. episode a reality — it would’ve been SO good. Here’s hoping a One Tree Hill reunion (a real one) becomes a reality instead, and then Bush and Lenz can be reunited on TV once again.
