Hawaii Five-0 is undergoing a lot of cast changes this season, but there is one new addition who we think fans are going to love — and we finally have a look at him!
Over the past few weeks Hawaii Five-0 creator Peter M. Lenkov has been sharing glimpses of the new season in the form of videos, the latest of which is very cute — if not a little surprising. It introduces fans to the newest member of the cop drama team, who is just a little furrier than we expected.
“Meet Eddie. #h50 ‘s newest member. #hawaiifive0 @hawaiifive0cbs #ServiceDog #H50K9,” Lenkov wrote on Monday alongside a clip of the adorable addition, Eddie, who is a dog!
In the clip, which is clearly a scene from one of season eight’s upcoming episodes, Eddie, an adorable yellow Labrador, is seen walking up and running into his owner’s room. Who is his owner you ask? Well, it’s unclear, because we can’t see his face, but the voice is definitely male.
Maybe, Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) or Danny Williams (Scott Caan) got a new pet, who also happens to be a service dog and can go on cases with them? Or perhaps he’s the dog of one of the new characters coming on board this season? Both Meaghan Rath and Beulah Koale have been added to the cast — after Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park’s departure — so perhaps Koale’s character is the male voice we’re hearing.
No matter who he belongs to, Eddie is so cute, and we can’t wait to see how he helps the team!
Hawaii Five-0 returns for season 8 on September 29, 2017 on CBS.
