It’s finally here — the moment all BTS fans have been waiting for: the groups’ album release date has been announced!
On Tuesday (Aug. 22), BTS revealed via their official fan café that the Love Yourself series’ first album, Her, is set to be released on September 18, 2017. So if you haven’t already, mark the date on your calendar ASAP and let the countdown to new music begin.
Over the past month, the K-Pop group has been teasing their new Love Yourself series, which has followed in the footsteps of their past three phases of music, beginning with the School trilogy, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life series, and most recently the Wings series (which consisted of a two-part album release, one in October 2016 and the other in February 2017).
Although the Love Yourself Her album is only the second record to be released in the United States (the first being Wings), it will mark the fifth studio album from the group overall.
Dark & Wild (in Korea and Japan) and Wake Up (in Japan) were both released in 2014, Youth in 2016 (in Japan) and then Wings in two parts for 2016 and 2017 (in Korea, China, Japan and the U.S.). As for the Love Yourself series, its album Her is going to be big, we can feel it — and based on all of the teasers thus far (which have included movie-inspired posters featuring each of the seven members of the group and three epic highlight reels), we’re preparing ourselves for quite the emotional rollercoaster.
Just take a look at the highlight video teasers again — especially the one with J-Hope being abandoned by his mother, and you’ll see what why.
Her will be out next month, but you can pre-order it this Friday, August 25, 2017, so get your credit cards ready!
