Louis Tomlinson fans eagerly awaiting new music from the singer can rest a bit easier knowing Tomlinson can relate to their pain.
The One Direction singer recently took to Twitter to share that just like his own fans, there’s one album he just can’t wait to get his hands on.
“This new Liam Gallagher album is gonna be too good!” tweeted Tomlinson on Wednesday (August 23).
Though Liam Gallagher has been working on solo material for the past few years, the Manchester native is arguably best known for being the lead singer of British rock band Oasis.
Oasis rose to fame in the early ’90s thanks to hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” and “Live Forever,” before eventually parting ways after releasing their final album, Dig Out Your Soul, in 2008.
Those who have been following Tomlinson’s career for a while might not be surprised that the singer is eagerly anticipating the release of Gallagher’s forthcoming record.
Tomlinson, like Oasis, grew up in the northern part of England, and so spent a lot of time listening to the iconic rock band in his youth. The singer even revealed in an interview with BBC back in July that he was inspired by both the Arctic Monkeys and Oasis when writing his own album.
“Because I’m from up north, I grew up loving the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Oasis,” said Tomlinson of the musicians. “It’s real, it’s honest and it’s to the point, you know?”
Given that Tomlinson is still so inspired by Oasis, it sounds as though we might have to pick up Liam Gallagher’s As You Were for ourselves when it drops on October 6!
