The cast of Chicago P.D. is finally back together, and despite the fact that their show is all about the drama — the actors aren’t afraid to goof off between takes.
On Friday (Aug. 25), Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos reunited with Chicago P.D. alum Jon Seda, who is officially returning to the NBC series for season 5. From the looks of it, “all work, and no play” is NOT a motto the trio abide by.
“Casual Friday!! For real though. Let’s be serious. Seriously. #ChicagoPD #ChicagoPDCasualFridays #LetsMakeItAThing,” Soffer captioned a hilarious photo of the trio on set of the cop drama.
The best part is that both Soffer, who plays Detective Jay Halstead and Seda, who plays Det. Antonio Dawson are wearing light purple sunglasses and totally pulling them off! Plus, Spiridakos, who plays Det. Hailey Upton, looks awesome in her oversized sunnies as the detectives hang out in some sort of market or connivence store.
After Sophia Bush’s departure from the series became official this summer, it’s good to see that this season’s new series regulars — both Seda, who is returning to the series after leaving to be on Chicago Justice full time last year, and Spiridakos, who was bumped to regular this spring — are acclimating to life on set with the cast’s original star Soffer.
While we’re still not ready to say goodbye to Det. Erin Lindsay (played by Bush), it’s clear from this photo that these three stars are going to make Chicago P.D. a show we’ll want to watch all season long.
Chicago P.D. returns for season 5 on September 27, 2017 on NBC.
