From the moment Horan announced his Flicker Sessions tour, he made it known to fans that he really wanted this tour to offer them an intimate experience. It’s been a huge change for Horan, but the singer revealed that he feels like smaller venues compliment the current acoustic-driven sound he’s been going for as a solo artist.
“I’ve been lucky enough to play the likes of Croke Park with the big stage and some of the best moments of my life have been in that setting with big stadiums and big productions and lights and the whole lot of it, but it’s nice with the kind of music that I’m making to bring it down to that smaller, more intimate level,” said Horan.
Going from playing stadiums to small theaters is a pretty big change, but it definitely sounds like Horan is taking things in stride.
More importantly, his Flicker Sessions tour is off to a great start! Just after his first show at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre, Horan took to social media to thank fans for the warm welcome, and for being so receptive of some of the previously unheard tracks from his upcoming solo album that he chose to play.
Up next, Horan is set to make his way through the U.K. and Australia before bringing his Flicker Sessions tour to the United States.
