Season 11 of The Big Bang Theory is underway, and rehearsals are anything but glamourous. While being an actor seems like a great gig, there are some serious downsides to having to film at all hours — just ask Kaley Cuoco.
On Thursday (Sept. 7), Cuoco posted a hilarious picture shedding light (literally) on what it’s like to work on a TV set.
“This is what’s it’s come to. Season 11 @bigbangtheory_cbs #icantsee #wherearemyglasses #sad 🤓😭,” Cuoco, who plays Penny on TBBT captioned a picture of herself at work.
According to the photo, Cuoco, who was without her glasses, had to improvise on set and use a giant head light (like the ones miners use to dig with) to read her script. We wonder if this head light is one of the ones that Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) used when they were simulating life in a salt mine by hanging out in a steam tunnel back in season 8?
If you look closely at the picture, you can also see that the 31-year-old actress never breaks character while she works, because she is sitting in the middle of the couch. Of course this isn’t just any couch, it’s the brown sofa in Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon’s apartment which means, Cuoco is sticking to the rule that no one besides Sheldon can sit in Sheldon’s spot!
If Cuoco’s dedication to learning her lines didn’t make us want to hang out on TBBT set, the fact that everyone seems to live by Sheldon’s rules, definitely does.
The Big Bang Theory returns for season 11 on September 25, 2017.
