Get ready to Gleek out, The Arrangement fans! A Glee alum is officially headed to the drama.
Jacob Artist has been added to the cast of the E! hit series ahead of its second season as a recurring character, Deadline reports. Although you might remember Artist as Jake Puckerman from Glee, the sometimes too-cool-for-school guy, who was paired with Marley Rose (Melissa Benoist), his character on The Arrangement will have even more edge.
According to Deadline, Artist will be portraying Wes Blaker who is, “a charming young man with a sharp sense of humor and a dark side.”
While the role may sound familiar, we’re assuming Artist’s Arrangement character won’t be singing and dancing like his Glee persona. Following Glee, Artist also appeared on Quantico as FBI recruit Brandon Fletcher, so he certainly knows a thing or two about being mixed up in some serious drama — a trait we’re assuming will serve him well in this upcoming gig.
The Arrangement currently stars Josh Henderson and Christine Evangelista, and follows Henderson’s character, Kyle West, as he enters into a contract marriage with Evangelista’s character Megan Morrison, in order to propel his career and hide a few secrets. Since the series focuses on love and the darker side of fame, it seems like the addition of Artist’s Wes character will be very interesting.
Season 2 of The Arrangement doesn’t yet have a premiere date, but the anticipation surrounding what might be coming up has definitely been heightened following this casting announcement. What do you think about Artist joining the cast of The Arrangement?
