The wait is finally over for Niall Horan fans!
On Thursday (Sept. 14), the Irish singer took to social media to give his fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for: all the details surrounding his first record, including its title, album art, and of course, release date.
“It’s been a long time coming but I’m delighted to announce that my new album ‘Flicker’ is out on the 20th of October,” Horan tweeted along with a photo of himself as the new cover art. “I hope you enjoy it.”
You heard the man, his first solo record drops next month, and it’s called “Flicker,” which we should have seen coming since his first tour — which he is currently on, and has just added more dates to — is called Flicker Sessions 2017. (Horan will be embarking on the Flicker World Tour soon). Now it all makes sense!
As for that cover art, the close-up of the “Slow Hands” singer’s face is simple, and yet so fitting. This album is all about him after all and not about his time in One Direction.
If that isn’t enough good news for one day, Horan also released his third single off the upcoming album, called “Too Much To Ask.”
“It’s a very special song to me and I hope you like it,” Horan tweeted after announcing the song’s debut last night. Talk about some great news to wake up to on a Friday!
Flicker drops October 20, 2017.
