While many Suits fans are wondering about the likelihood of an eight season, we can’t stop thinking about the rest of season 7! When it comes to the dynamic duo of Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) anything is possible, but season 7 isn’t going to focus solely on these two leads, and that’s good news.
After the midseason finale of the USA series aired last week, Suits creator Aaron Korsh filled Deadline on what fans can expect to see in the back six episodes. In addition to Dulé Hill (as Alex Williams) sticking with the Suits team for now, Korsh teased that there is going to be a new face around who has old ties to the firm.
“We’re going to meet a new character that our people within our show know but fans haven’t met before, and that character is going to play a role in the back six,” Korsh told Deadline in regards to the remaining six episodes of season 7.
Who is this person, you ask? Well, Korsh wouldn’t exactly say, but he did drop a pretty big hint after Deadline‘s Nellie Andreeva questioned whether the the character will be someone who fans have heard of, but not yet seen.
“Yes, yes. I may as well say it,” Korsh confirmed Deadline. “It’s an old name partner, one of Gordon, Schmidt and VanDyke, I just won’t tell you which one it is.”
Korsh also revealed that Shelia (Rachael Harris) and Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside) were going to be seen again within this season, but it’s that new face (with a familiar name) that we are most excited about. Will the face be someone that stirs things up in the office, or someone who will help the team?
Who do you think will be joining Suits when it returns for the second half of season 7?
Suits will air the rest of season seven sometime in 2018 on USA.
