The Big Bang Theory will kick off its first episode back finally answering the big question that was popped last season, but come episode two of season 11, there is going to be a bigger issue to handle: someone might be losing their job!
CBS just released the synopsis for season 11, episode 2, “The Retraction Reaction,” which airs on October 2, and it reveals that one of the members of the nerd squad will be in hot water after messing up an interview. Hint: It’s not someone you’d think would have an issue with public speaking.
“Leonard angers the university – and the entire physics community – after he gives an embarrassing interview,” CBS’ synopsis reads. This interview will lead to his “job [being] at stake,” and it’s not good for the anyone.
Seriously, Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) on the chopping block? That is something a lot of fans might not have seen coming. Leonard’s best friend, Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), who has had a lot of issues with his superiors over the years because he thinks he’s smarter than all of them (and usually is) — on the other hand, is someone we could easily see getting fired at some point.
Although an embarrassing radio interview could lead to getting Leonard into trouble with his bosses, we are most interested to see what exactly he says in the interview that makes everyone so mad.
TBBT fans, what do you think Leonard says in the interview that could get him fired? Will he actually get the boot?
The Big Bang Theory returns for season 11 on September 25, 2017 on CBS.
