Sure, Benson has doubled her star-power by playing one of the Liars on the hit Freeform series, which ended in June after seven seasons, but when the 27-year-old star sat down with W magazine this past spring, she revealed that TV isn’t her only acting passion.
“I want to be specific in what my next move is, I want to get into film more just because I have been doing TV for so long,” Benson told W magazine about her next move back in May, and she’s been following through on her plan.
Benson, who really has been a TV actress for most of her career — starring on Days of Our Lives from 2004-2007, then Eastwick from 2009-2010, followed by Pretty Little Liars in 2010 (which ran until 2017) — has dabbled in film in the past with a number of roles, including in 2015’s Pixels, but now it’s her main focus.
After PLL wrapped, the California native was already part of a film called Chronically Metropolitan, which was officially released in August 2017, and although it wasn’t a massive box-office hit (it was only released in select theaters), it proves that Benson is serious about working on film projects for a little while before diving back into television.
That being said, with so much success in TV, we’re hoping we get to see Benson make it big on both the big and small screen!
What about you, Benson fans, do you want to see the actress on the big screen or back on TV?
