There’s no denying Sabrina Carpenter is a seriously talented actress. These days, however, the Disney Channel alum might best be known for her budding singing career.

The rising star made a splash with her 2016 album EVOLution, which she followed up with a hit single called “Why,” and a handful of tour dates set to take her all across the United States.

Carpenter, 18, may make ruling the music industry look like a walk in the park, but the truth of the matter is, the Disney Channel star has had to work hard to get to where she is.

The Eyes Wide Open vocalist was recently profiled at no. 21 for Billboard’s 21 Under 21 where she opened up about what it’s like to pursue a singing career as a teenager.

“These are the stranger years of our lives,” Carpenter told the music outlet of being a teen. “We have to work a bit harder to prove ourselves.”

For Carpenter, proving herself could manifest itself in the form of new music.

While the singer hasn’t officially announced any new material coming down the pipeline, she recently took to Twitter to tease that something major could be on the horizon.

When a fan asked her to “spill the tea” with regards to any new music coming soon, Carpenter replied coyly with, “Sometimes I have to force myself to close twitter before I spill the beans. sorry Nina.”

Whatever Sabrina Carpenter is cooking up next, it’s bound to be amazing and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!
