This week officially marked the return of Nashville season 6, okay, it technically marked the beginning of filming for season 6, which is just as exciting.
On Wednesday (Sept. 27), Clare Bowen, who plays the always lovely Scarlett O’Conner, confirmed that the series’ cast is back in Nashville to begin taping the next season of the CMT drama.
“Season 6. 🔥🎬🔥 #NashvilleCMT,” she captioned the image of herself holding onto her script for the first episode of the new season. Although she didn’t give anything away in this picture — even the lighting helped to cover any key information on the script itself — you can tell the actress is happy to be back with her TV family.
Bowen isn’t the only cast member of the country-music based series that his happy to be back on set, however. Her TV uncle, Charles Esten, who plays Deacon Claybourne, also shared a fun on-set moment from his first day back.
He took to Twitter on Tuesday to show all of his fans what it’s really like to work on the show with a fun behind-the-scenes video.
“Everybody’s working hard, getting this thing ready,” Esten said in the video as he moved the camera around the stage area, and even showed his fans a familiar face, when Sam Palladio (who plays Gunner Scott) popped up in the frame.
It’s only the beginning of season 6 filming for the lovely cast of Nashville, and based on these two posts we are already counting down until the show actually returns to our TV screens.
Nashville will return for season 6 sometime in January 2018 on CMT.
