Luke Bryan has been dropping hints about new music for a while now, and his latest tease comes with a big performance announcement, so get ready everyone.
On Wednesday (Oct. 4), Bryan announced on Twitter that he will be heading to Good Morning America later this week and it sounds like he’s bringing a new song along with him.
The tweet, which simply says, “10/6 on @GMA,” features a video that begins with the phrase,
“What makes you ______” and the blank space continually changes. As you see glimpses of Bryan performing at shows, fishing with his sons, and being a good ole country boy, the words change from, “adventurous” and “bold” to “wild” and “beautiful” before landing on the word “country.”
The song playing in the background is “What Make You Country,” which is an unreleased track by Bryan, which he’s played at a few events over the summer, but has yet to make public — or unveil as a single.
With a Good Morning America performance scheduled for Friday of this week — following his Wednesday appearance alongside his fellow American Idol judges, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — Bryan could be ready to announce this track as his next single off his upcoming sixth studio album, which is slated for a 2017 release.
The 41-year-old singer has already released “Light It Up” as a single ahead of the next record, but fans want more… and by the end of the week they might have it.
What do you think of Bryan’s latest track, “What Makes You Country?”
