“For the last seven years, we’ve been turning down the script, turning down the script,” Chan told Power 106’s The Cruz Show this week. “Yesterday, we just agreed.”
The last time we saw Chan fighting crime in a Rush Hour film was 10 years ago, and it’s been way too long for both the fans and the lead actor.
“The script probably at the end of this month will have a second draft and next year, [we’ll] probably start,” he added. However, there is one condition that needs to be met before the movie can really move forward, as Chan revealed that nothing will happen unless one more person is on board.
Although we have yet to hear whether or not Tucker wants to do another action film with Chan, The Foreigner actor is confident that the only reason he wouldn’t be on board would be because of his schedule.
“It’s not about money!” Chan explained. “It’s about [having the] time to make. Otherwise, Rush Hour 4 we’re all old men. I tell Chris Tucker, ‘Before we get old, please do Rush Hour 4.'”
Fans also agree that there needs to be another Rush Hour, and the sooner the better!
