Get ready Psych-Os, because we finally have a premiere date for the Psych: The Movie!
It was previously teased that Psych would be returning for a special TV movie event this December, and now, the network has revealed when that day will be, so get your calendars out and write this down: According to TV Line, Psych: The Movie will air on December 7, 2017 on USA, and pineapples should be tossed around in excitement… or maybe just eaten.
On Saturday (Oct. 7), some of the cast from Psych reunited at New York Comic-Con for a panel, and revealed not only the premiere date for the new film, but also shared a few secrets about the storyline and featured guests as well.
While Dulé Hill, who plays Gus (aka Shawn’s sidekick and BFF), wasn’t in attendance, he did send in a funny video to make the date announcement. It featured him tap dancing, teasing his character’s new love interest saying it was “well worth the wait.”
As for what the rest of the cast — attendees included James Roday (Shawn Spencer), Maggie Lawson (Juliet O’Hara), Kirsten Nelson (Karen Vick), Corbin Bernsen (Henry Spencer) and creator Steve Franks and executive producer Chris Henze were — revealed during the panel? We learned that Jon Cena will be reprising his role as Ewan O’Hara, Juliet’s brother. Plus, Timothy Omundson, who plays Agent Lassie, will be making an appearance, which is great news for fans who love him so much.
Sadly, the premiere is still a few months away, but there is something you can do to pass the time… join in on the “Pass the Pineapple” challenge. Yes, it’s a real thing, and it’s fun, so why not do it? All you have to do is take a video of yourself passing a pineapple to the left and it could be included in the final video, which will create the longest pineapple toss chain ever.
