Jennifer Lawrence is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars these days, but that doesn’t mean she always keeps her cool on set.
Featured in Elle’s upcoming Women in Hollywood Issue, Lawrence opened up to the magazine about whether she faces any internal pressures while making movies, and her answer is pretty surprising.
“The only time I find myself worrying about the result is when I’m filming, because I’m working all day, and then I come home and my brain’s just like, What should we panic about?” Lawrence told Elle.
When filming is completed, however, the Mother! star said the pressure subsides, because by that point she’s already done her part.
“After I’ve finished the process, though, it’s done for me. I’ve done my work, and I’ve gotten what I need to get out of it — I’ve fulfilled myself,” she explained. “What happens next doesn’t really matter.”
Seeing as Lawrence is an Oscar-winning actress, who has been in at least two movies a year since 2011 (she’s taking a break soon), maybe she’s onto something. Going all in while actually making the movie, and not worrying about the critics once it hits, is a really good idea.
Elle’s November issue hits newsstands on October 17, 2017.
