Get ready everyone, because Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants could be getting a third film very soon!
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Amber Tamblyn, who played Tibby in the first two films confirmed that a third installment is in fact in the works. She teased that it’s been “in development for a while,” and we couldn’t be happier to get this news.
“I have very high hopes for it happening sooner rather than later,” Tamblyn told Entertainment Weekly last month.
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants follows friends Tibby, Lena (Alexis Bledel), Carmen (America Ferrera), and Bridget (Blake Lively), and their lives as they are intertwined through the passing of a pair of magical pants that fits each of them.
Although we don’t have a set release date for the third installment of the Sisterhood films, the four leading ladies frequently reunite and take photos to document their hilarious hang outs. Plus, the actresses have all spoken out about another Sisterhood movie and everyone appears to be on board.
In fact, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly Radio last year, Lively hinted that she was more than up for reuniting with her pals to work on the next installment of the movie.
“The four of us are still best friends and to be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours,” said Lively.
Luckily for fans, that dream seems to be shared by her costars (to see where each Sisterhood alum stands on a third movie, click here).
If you could choose the storyline, what would you want Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 to be about?
