Miley Cyrus released her sixth studio album, Younger Now, last month, and now the artist is revealing which song is her favorite and why.
After going through an evolution herself over the past few years, Cyrus’ newest record is all about her life currently, with songs dedicated to where she lives (like Malibu) and where she records (Rainbowland). During an interview with Buzzfeed — while playing with puppies we might add — Cyrus opened up about her album, and answered a few fan questions like which song is the “most special” on Younger Now.
“’Malibu’ was the first song that I wrote on this record so it’s extra special to me,” the 24-year-old singer simply said during her Buzzfeed interview.
In case you forgot, “Malibu” was actually written in an Uber. The “Younger Now” singer went on to explain what inspired her the most during her time working on the album.
“I wrote my new album at my studio Rainbowland, which is also a song that I sing with Dolly Parton,” she explained about her musical inspiration this time around. “And so just being around all the colors always really inspired me.”
With so much talk about Rainbowland and Cyrus’ love of her song “Malibu,” which of course was also inspired by her home in Malibu, California, we’re really wishing we could visit The Voice coach at her magical house and see the album come to life.
