Demi Lovato proved once again that she has the voice on an angel over the weekend, this time in honor of the Somos Una Voz benefit, and we can’t stop listening.
On Saturday, Lovato took the stage, as one of many performers to support the Somos Una Voz benefit — which was a concert dedicated to raising money for the disasters in both Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Mexico — and it was hauntingly good. The 25-year-old singer chose to sing a rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” and trust us when we say, you will get chills while listening to it.
Throughout her performance, Lovato commanded the stage, hit crazy-high notes, and made us wish we were there to see it live.
Fans watching the concert on TV or online however, weren’t the only ones stunned by Lovato’s voice. Ellen DeGeneres, who was one of the celebrities in attendance at the event took to Twitter to share how magical the song really was.
“Incredible. I hope you’re watching. @ddlovato @nbc #OneVoice #SomosUnaVoz,” DeGeneres tweeted alongside a video of Lovato singing, and then her own face reacting to its awesomeness.
Lovato and DeGeneres weren’t the only two stars in attendance at the charity event, which featured numerous singers, who performed, and other celebrities, who answered phones and helped raise money. In fact, a few of Lovato’s former Disney Channel actors were in attendance… namely, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens.
The two actresses were joined by many familiar faces during the telethon including Derek Hough, Kim Kardashian, Camila Cabello, and more. Not to mention the stars who presented the event, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez and Marc Anthony. The whole night was full of star power, and the best part is that it was for a good cause!
Even though the benefit concert is now complete, you can still donate to the cause by going to SomosOneVoice.com or calling 1-800-593-9700.
