Bad news Ed Sheeran fans, the singer has to cancel some of his tour dates because of his arm injuries.

On Monday, Sheeran took to Instagram to share with his fans that he got into a bicycle accident, which resulted in his hand being in a cast, and the other being in a sling. At first we thought it could influence his ÷ tour, which kicks off in Taipei on October 22, 2017, and by Tuesday fans had the answer they were hoping they wouldn’t get.

“I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x” Sheeran wrote on Instagram alongside an image of his initial injuries on Monday.

The next day, Sheeran took to Instagram again to share his doctor’s diagnosis, and sadly, shows are definitely being canceled.

“A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future,” the 26-year-old singer announced.

The “Shape of You” singer then revealed which shows were affected by his accident, so if one of these shows is one you were planning on attending, the red-haired singer won’t be performing.

“Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that,” he explained. “Please stay tuned for more details. PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.”

Although we are bummed that Sheeran won’t be able to perform at his next few shows, but the good news is that he doesn’t kick off his North American leg of the tour until August 18, 2018 (in Pasadena, California) so he should be healed and ready to go by then.
