Modern Family has had a lot of amazing guest stars throughout its nine seasons, and this season is no different. So who is coming to the comedy this year? James Van Der Beek!

If you’ve been wanting to put a face to Cam’s (Eric Stonestreet) first crush, and the baby daddy to his sister Pameron’s (Dana Powell) son, then you’re in luck because we’re finally going to meet the infamous Bo Johnson this season.

According to Entertainment Weekly the Dawson’s Creek alum has been cast to play Bo Johnson, the man who won two Tucker siblings’ hearts with his rough and tough persona, and who as far as we knew was in jail, but could be getting out. The publication revealed that Van Der Beek’s episode is called “No Small Feet,” and will air in December.

We know it’s still a few months away, but the good news is that Van Der Beek has already teased his role on Instagram, and let’s just say the pictures are priceless.

“Modern family, backwoods man 🤠#ModernFamily #Bo,” Van Der Beek captioned a series of three photos from set. One is of the Tucker siblings with their significant others, while the other two show Bo Johnson in all his hunting-gear glory. It’s too funny.

Earlier this season we met the first guy that Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) kissed at the lake, so it seems fitting that we’d meet Cam’s first real crush in the same year. Bo Johnson however, is a total farm guy, and has a baby with Cam’s sister, so obviously there is going to be a lot more drama with this former flame than with Mitchell’s—and there was quite a bit of it at the lake!

Modern Family airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
