The second season of This Is Us has already given fans a lot to talk about, and now one of its stars is teasing what big changes are in store for Kate and Rebecca.
After season 1 of This Is Us, fans thought they couldn’t cry anymore or be surprised, but of course NBC’s hit drama has already surpassed our expectations and we’re only four episodes into the new season. One of the biggest focuses this season has been the dynamic between Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore), and its just the tip of the iceberg.
“Yeah. We’ll get to see more of where their relationship and if and when and how they’re coming to an understanding on where each of them come from,” Metz told The Hollywood Reporter in regards to her character’s relationship with her mom.
Throughout the series we’ve seen that both Kate and Rebecca have deep-seated issues with one another, and their relationship has definitely been rocky along the way. In season 2 fans will get to see even more from the mother-daughter duo, and it’s very exciting.
“Neither of them are right or wrong, these are just their feelings and our perception and our reality. They’re both doing the best they can,” Metz explained. “We will see more of that relationship and how they hopefully grow through the pain.”
To see what happens next for Kate and Rebecca, as well as the rest of The Big Three (aka Kevin and Randall), and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) tune in tonight for an all-new episode of the heart-wrenching drama.
This Is Us airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
(People’s Choice and NBC are both part of the NBCU family.)
