Jaden Smith has been dropping new singles throughout 2017, and based on his latest teasers, his first studio album is going to be worth the wait. On Tuesday, Smith announced that he is in fact dropping new music, and he has already shared a lot of it online.
“I Cordially Invite You To Visit SYRE Land Via My Instagram. 3 Years In The Making Thank You #LongLiveSYRE |||” Smith tweeted on Tuesday telling fans to check out his Instagram page for clips from his new SYRE project.
In addition to his announcement of SYRE, Smith basically made his Instagram into a record reveal party, and it’s amazing. In total he’s posted twelve items, which include a series of videos (seven total), artwork, and an overall visual of Smith sitting on a hill with a gorgeous sunset behind him.
Within the teases and clues about this record, Smith does reveal the story behind his new record. One photo reads, “SYRE, the story of a boy who chased the sunset till it chased him, never quite sure about his placement in this pink world or why nothing ever made sense, all he knew is everyday he woke up bleeding with amnesia and a case of new memories that he had tendencies to mistake for fiction.”
In addition to painting the picture for this album, Smith has unveiled a few of the album’s song titles. Some of them include, “The Passion,” “Lost Boy,” and “George Jefferson.”
SYRE drops on November 17, 2017.
