Sabrina Carpenter just wrapped her De-Tour tour in late August, but that doesn’t mean she’s not ready to get back into the studio to start making music again. In fact, on Wednesday (Oct 25), Carpenter chatted with Billboard’s Kevan Kenny during a Facebook Live interview and revealed that new music might be coming soon.
The former Disney Channel actress performed some of her biggest hits while in the Billboard studio, and ended with her current hit single “Why,” which led the reporter to ask her, whether or not “Why” is actually off a third body of work, and the answer is pretty exciting.
“Yes… yes,” Carpenter replied during her Billboard interview on Facebook Live. Although she didn’t give much away she followed her answer up by saying, “More music is on the way for sure, for sure. Ya.”
In 2015, Carpenter released her first debut album titled, Eyes Wide Open, and in 2016 she was quick to drop a sophomore record titled, Evolution. While fans are thrilled to have two full-length albums from the Pennsylvania native, we already want more — and from the sounds of it, Carpenter is ready to give us fans what we crave.
The good news is that Carpenter’s latest single, “Why,” which dropped in July, is currently taking over the airwaves, so at least we have something to listen to as we wait for her promise of “more music” to come to fruition.
If one song doesn’t work for you, Carpenter was recently featured on a new track by Lost Kings called “First Love,” so you can — and probably should — start listening to it on repeat.
What type of music do you hope Carpenter releases on her third album? Which song of hers is your favorite?
