Today is a big day for Kelsea Ballerini! The artist has dropped her new album, Unapologetically, and her tour tickets are now available, plus we finally know who will be opening for the “High School” singer on tour.
On Friday (Nov. 3), Ballerini took to Twitter to share with her fans that when her The Unapologetically Tour kicks off in February, her opener will be Walker Hayes. “#KB2Tour is on-sale NOW! Bringing @WalkerHayes with me & we can’t wait to see you legends out there ✨,” Ballerini tweeted along with a video showing all of her upcoming concert dates.
“Can’t wait 💪,” Hayes replied to Ballerini’s Twitter announcement, and we can’t wait to see these two on the road together!
In addition to unveiling her opening act, the 24-year-old singer’s sophomore record, Unapologetically, is now available everywhere and according to the artist, this album is all about telling her story.
“Over the last three years, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that all we have is our story. We are who we are because of the extreme emotions we feel. Whether its failing, succeeding, belly laughing, sobbing, being young forever, growing up, heartbreak, real love, whatever, it’s all we have,” she explained in a video on Twitter.
Ballerini’s process for this record was about being true to her emotions, and it definitely comes through.
“So, I challenge myself to feel every bit of it and then I challenge myself to write every bit of it, because I think being vulnerable is being strong,” she continued. “If all we have is our story, I wanted to tell my unapologetically.”
