Between Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and Fuller House being so successful, and upcoming revivals like Roseanne and hopefully Sister, Sister causing a lot of chatter, classic shows are coming back in a big way. Now, the cast of Moesha is letting fans know where they stand on a revival of the late ‘90s series.
On Friday (Nov. 3), the cast of Moesha, including Brandy Norwood, Ray J, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Shar Jackson, Countess Vaughn, William Allen Young, and Marcus T. Paulk, reunited for the first time in a long time on The Real, and well, if it’s up to them it won’t be the last time you see them all back together.
In fact, when The Real co-host Jeannie Mai asked the group if they’d sign up for a reboot everyone at the table responded with an overwhelming, “yes!”
“Absolutely, We need a reboot to this show, because we ended on a cliff,” Norwood pointed out. “Miles was kidnapped. We don’t know who was pregnant.”
Moesha might’ve ended in 2001, after six seasons, but the cast is ready to bring back the Mitchell family — which centered around Moesha (played by Norwood) as she navigated her life as a teenager, and dealt with boys, friends, and a new stepmother in Los Angeles — but clearly the cast is still fans of one another.
Plus, there was a major cliffhanger or two when the series went off the air, so seeing the cast back on TV to tie up those loose ends would be a great idea.
What do you think about a Moesha revival? Would you tune in for more from this cast?
