This week is already off to a great start… at least for Blake Shelton, who announced major news about his most recent album.
On Monday (Nov. 13), Shelton took to Twitter to share some exciting news with his fans about his 11th studio album, Texoma Shore.
“Wow…. ‘Texoma Shore’ has debuted as the #1 country album!!!” Shelton tweeted today. “I can’t say THANK YOU enough to everyone who bought it!!! I love y’all!”
The “I’ll Name The Dogs” singer couldn’t be more excited about this accolade and we don’t blame him. Having a record debut at the number one spot on any chart, especially the Country Chart is huge and it’s only been a few weeks.
Technically it’s been 10 days since Texoma Shore was released on November 3, 2017, and it’s already earned the number one spot. Shelton previously talked about his newest album, saying it was named after Lake Texoma, which is on the boarder of Texas and Oklahoma, which is where he grew up visiting and now has a lake house.
Clearly going all the way back to his childhood roots — literally — has helped connect with fans and earn him this top spot. According to Forbes, Shelton’s new record also debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 Chart, which again is a be deal.
We’re so excited for Shelton and all his success on Texoma Shore, especially since it hasn’t even been two weeks since it dropped. With so much success and love for his fans, it’s only a matter of time until his upcoming tour, Country Music Freaks, sells out, so don’t forget to buy your tickets!
