For Niall Horan fans, getting used to the Irish singer as a solo artist has been a bit of an adjustment, but for the former One Direction crooner, he’s had a taste of solo success and he’s ready for more.
During a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Horan opened up about his debut solo album, Flicker, which hit the number one spot on Billboard’s 200 Chart within a few weeks of its release, and the fact that he’s already wanting to start work on another record.
“I’m on a bit of a tour right now, and after I got the No. 1 I nearly wanted to go and write the next [album],” Horan told Vanity Fair when asked if he celebrated this big milestone. “I got a goal right here. So, I don’t know, I just kinda keep my head down.”
Although the “This Town” singer couldn’t be happier with his record getting so my love from fans and critics, he’s now setting his sights on making an equally as popular sophomore album.
“It’s my first album. Everyone was a bit excited, you know,” he noted. “Everyone’s excited about it and stuff like that, so I’ll try and do my best on the next one.”
The next one? This is exciting! Sure, it’s a bit of bad news for 1D fans, who are hoping the boy band reunites sooner rather than later, but any new music from Horan is good in our minds.
