Hailee Steinfeld is one busy girl, and for her fans that is definitely a good thing!
Ahead of her 2017 American Music Awards performance (which is this weekend), Steinfeld sat down with Teen Vogue and revealed that the end of 2017 and start of 2018 are going to be full of exciting career moments, especially when it comes to her music career.
After releasing “Let Me Go” in September, Steinfeld revealed that more solo music is definitely on its way, and that means a future solo record!
“Absolutely. I am so looking forward to the new year with new music in my back pocket ready to go,” Steinfeld told Teen Vogue when asked if more music was on its way. “I’ve been working on it for a very long time now and as well as juggling the acting side of things. I, again, am looking forward to putting out more music — more solo music and some more collaborations that are right around the corner.”
While the young actress has a few movies hitting theaters soon and into 2018 that will be part of her focus as well next year, she made it clear that music is a top priority.
“The new music is really what I’m so excited about, even though there isn’t a date on that yet. It is coming very soon and I’m really looking forward to that,” she said.
While Steinfeld didn’t spill too many details about what type of collaborations we can expect on her future record, or when it will hit, she did say that the goal is a full-length album.
“That’s what I’m working on, yeah,” she confirmed when talking about her debut solo record. “That’s the hope.”
Here’s hoping that Steinfeld does release a full-length record in 2018, after all once we see her back on the big screen singing in Pitch Perfect 3 next month, fans will be ready for more original tracks from the artist!
