Shawn Mendes is all about his third studio album right now, and he’s even hinting when we can expect to hear it… or at least hear something off of it.

Mendes has a history of teasing his upcoming music — going on Twitter to share with fans any and all news about his songs and future collaborations. Now, however, he’s opened up to MTV News about who he’s working with and when we might hear those tracks.

At the 2017 EMAs, the Canadian singer revealed that he’s been working with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, and now we can’t wait for new music from the duo!

“Last year [at the EMA], I got to meet Ryan Tedder for the first time,” Mendes told MTV News at the award show in London last weekend. “And actually, was just in the studio with him like a week ago and wrote some awesome songs.”

As for when you might be able to hear those tracks, and any other new music from Album 3, which is what Mendes’ next record is currently being called, it’s looking like 2018 at the earliest.

“Not for a little bit,” he said about the when, so fingers crossed 2018 brings more music from Mendes, and even more collaborations, after all, the “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” singer has previously talked about wanting to work with the likes of John Mayer, and has brought Ed Sheeran up on stage to perform together.

Who would you like to see Mendes record with next?
