Downton Abbey went off the air in 2015, and although it’s only been two years since we’ve said goodbye to the Crawley family, for most fans it’s two years too much.

Currently, there is still no word on whether or not the rumored Downton Abbey movie is happening, but for Michelle Dockery, she’s still hoping that a reunion does happen, and that’s good news for fans of the British series.

“I can’t tell you any more than what I’ve said before,” Dockery told Variety in a recent interview. “I’m hopeful that it would happen at some point, but that’s all I can tell you for now. We’ll see what happens.”

The biggest issue for Dockery, who played Lady Mary Crawley, and the rest of the cast is their schedules. That doesn’t mean, however, that the cast wouldn’t switch a few things around if they were asked to do so.

“Getting everyone together at the right time, it’s not easy, but there seems to be a want for it. I’m hopeful that it will happen,” she said. “Just getting everyone together at the same time isn’t easy. There’s 18 strong cast members in this.”

While it might not be happening right this minute — Dockery has yet to see a script for the future film — the Good Behavior star is glad to make her Downton fans happy and reprise her role in the future.

“There seems to be a want for it, which is wonderful. All the fans seem to want it, so we’ll see,” she concluded.
