Fans are dreading saying goodbye to the Barden Bellas once Pitch Perfect 3 hits theaters, but the cast has already had to say farewell, and it wasn’t easy.

Ahead of the third, and most likely final Pitch Perfect film release, Brittany Snow, who plays Chloe aka everyone’s favorite ginger, sat down with InStyle and talked all about the final day of filming.

“It was a really tough day,” Snow told InStyle, noting that the ladies have now known each other for more than five years. “There’s a big finale number at the end, and we are all legitimately crying in it. I think we realized that this time together will be ending, and it’s sad because we really love each other.”

The Barden Bellas are best friends, who sing a cappella together, and off screen, the ladies who bring those characters to life are like family, which is why it was so hard to say goodbye, according to Snow. The actress said the ladies exchanged gifts before parting ways.

Snow revealed that Anna Kendrick, who plays Beca, gave everyone friendship necklaces, while she opted for an old-school mixed tape idea.

“Well, it was actually a CD, not a tape,” she said. “I gave it to them with a collage of pictures too.”

Seriously all these off-screen friendship stories make us love the Bellas on screen even more, and we’re so not ready to let them go!

Pitch Perfect 3 hits theaters on December 22, 2017.
