It’s been a year since Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life debuted, and Gilmore Girls fans still aren’t ready to say goodbye to Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.

Despite the fact that another revival of the hit CW series isn’t in the works as of now, both creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband and co-creator Daniel Palladino aren’t ruling it out forever, but it won’t be easy to recreate the magic again.

Gilmore Girls, when we were doing it, it felt like a very small thing. And it became a bigger thing after it went off the air. It’s kind of become a big thing,” Palladino told Newsweek about the series and its current legacy.

As for what it will take to make more Gilmore Girls happen, it’s all about timing, and of course the actors who’ve made the characters so beloved over the years.

“It would have to be exactly right, exactly the right timing,” he continued. “We would want it to be something the audience wants to see. Not just the characters, but the stories that people want to see. It’s a big responsibility. But we’re open to it.”

The fact that both of the creators are open to more episodes or possibly a movie reunion of Gilmore Girls in the future is definitely good news. Until we do get more from the ladies of Stars Hollow, you can watch another series from the creative husband and wife duo called The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon.
